Have WordPress.org account

  1. Your username is required to be used as the ____@chat.wordpress.org
  2. Can’t remember your username?
    • It is the one trailing at https://profiles.wordpress.org/____
    • You can also request a new password with eMail address.
  3. Visit: https://wcmumbai.slack.com/join/signup
  4. Use your WordPress.org username > ‘Create Account’
  5. Verification will be sent to your original eMail address.
  6. Click & Verify the eMail of confirming joining.
  7. Finish the signup process & Read-Agree to Terms.
  8. Visit: https://wcmumbai.slack.com and start communication.

Don’t Have WordPress.org account

  1. Register: https://login.wordpress.org/register
  2. Verification will be sent to the eMail address.
  3. Click & Verify the eMail of confirming joining
  4. [Optional] Complete your WordPress.org Profile information.
  5. Visit: https://wcmumbai.slack.com/join/signup
  6. Use your WordPress.org username > ‘Create Account’
  7. Verification will be sent to your original eMail address.

Basic Guidelines

Welcome to the group! Kindly do the following before doing anything else:

  1. Update the NAME on your Slack profile to the real, full one. We do this to maintain a sense of professionalism & trust among the group members. We’ll have to restrict you if you don’t do this. If you find that you’re restricted, reach out to one of the admins.
  2. Don’t register as a company/ brand/ product/ firm.
  3. Don’t use the Profile Picture as a brand logo.
  4. Don’t post your products or Job requirements.
  5. Be polite. Don’t use slang, random gifs, pictures, or anything off-topic.
  6. You adhere to the Good Faith Rules, even on slack.
